Overview

Chevrolet only produced the 1970 Monte Carlo as a hardtop, but there were illustrations of convertibles in the dealer catalogs hinting at what it would look like if they did make one. Though Chevrolet did not officially make any convertibles, there were a number of companies who later produced high-quality conversions like this one. Likely customized in the early 1990’s, this conversion was completed to a high standard with longevity in mind which is evidenced by the factory-looking double boxed frame and use of N.O.S. “A-body” GM parts. If you didn’t know otherwise, you would presume this was a factory-built vehicle.
This car was acquired by the owner of a GM dealership in 2020, and the previous owner had cared for the car since 2002, putting only a few thousand miles on in that time. The odometer reads 65,xxx miles which is believed to be correct, but will be sold as TMU.
